About GiftAid Significantly increase the value
of your donation
GiftAid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to CCF UK for British taxpayers. Using GiftAid means that for every pound you give, CCF will receive an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue. This means that a £10 GiftAid donation is worth £12.80 to CCF - imagine what a difference that could make to our work - and it doesn't cost you a thing. On top of this, higher rate taxpayers are eligible to reclaim as much as £23 from the taxman for every £100 donated to charity, by including details of their GiftAid donations on their Self Assessment form. For more on how GiftAid works and details of how this is calculated, see the section below. Making a GiftAid Declaration It's really simple to send a GiftAid Declaration to the Cheetah Conservation Fund UK. Simply enter your full name, postcode and house name/number (if any) and the street in the spaces below and then click the "Send declaration" button. That's all there is to it! GiftAid - How does it work? GiftAid is surprisingly easy to use. GiftAid can apply to donations of any amount, large or small, by cash, cheque, postal order, direct debit, standing order, debit or credit card or even in a foreign currency (including the euro). If you are a UK taxpayer, all you have to do is give us a simple GiftAid declaration. The declaration should contain your full name and address, including your postcode, and the donations you wish to GiftAid – you can have it apply to all donations, or those from or made on a specific date. The easiest thing to do is to use the form above. Or you can download a PDF form by clicking here, or simply write an email to uk@cheetah.org containing the same information, if the wording of the form above is not suitable. What's more, one single GiftAid declaration can apply to all past donations you have made (since April 2000) and to all future donations you make. As a higher rate taxpayer looking to reclaim tax from your donation, all you have to do is remember to include details of your charitable gifts on your tax form. Also, since April 2003, higher rate taxpayers are able to reclaim tax relief from donations paid to charity both during the previous tax year and during the current tax year, that means the relief is paid that much quicker. Whenever you make a donation to a UK charity, make sure you use GiftAid. Look out for the Gift Aid It logo or tick box on the donation form or appeal, complete the declaration and send it off.
