CCF Receives Intel Environment Award from Tech Museum of Innovation, San Jose, CA The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, Calif., has announced the winners of its 2008 Intel Environment Award, which honours efforts to provide economical and environmentally-friendly solutions for developing countries. This year's winners include the Biomass Energy Project of Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia. CCF's BushBlocks Project is a biomass processing plant that uses a high-pressure extrusion process to convert invasive bush into a clean and economically viable alternative to existing products such as firewood, coal, lump charcoal and charcoal briquettes used for cooking fuel and barbecues.
